I don’t know if you’ve been outside lately, but it’s hot. I try to keep cool but trying to keep four kids wrangled when I’m trying to run errands turns me into a sweaty mess. No matter how put together I look when we leave the house, (Ha! Who am I kidding?) by the second stop I’m not feeling so fresh anymore.
It never fails that when you’re looking and feeling not-so-great you’re going to run into someone you know. I don’t know who made up that rule, but it sure is annoying.
I decided to fight the funk by making a Stinky Mom Survival Kit that I can take anywhere I go and keep myself #FreshNaturally.
In there I’ve packed some totally natural items that you can feel good about using. Wipes are great for freshening up any sweaty areas. And of course the mints are necessary when some of your favorite foods involve garlic, onions, and other slightly offensive ingredients. Tom’s of Maine has been my deodorant of choice for the past two years. It really does last through the day for me, and the scents aren’t overpowering. You can find all of the great and long lasting options at Whole Foods.
Also in my bag is the Sweet Mama fragrance spray I made myself. Perfumes usually give me a headache, and I love being able to know exactly what’s on my skin. Have you ever made your own fragrance spray? It’s super easy!
Mine is only three ingredients:
Print out my free printable perfume bottle label and instructions and make your very own scent out of natural ingredients!
Place all of the items in your super cute bag – any cosmetic bag will do the trick – and keep it in your purse, diaper bag or car. Next time you run into someone while running errands you won’t be avoiding that friendly hug.
What would you put in your Stinky Mom Survival Kit?
