We were so excited when we heard about the Freeloader Child Carrier, and were looking forward to trying it out. Freeloader generously provided us with our very own carrier for free, so we took a hike!
We love being in the outdoors, but lately it has been too hot here in Southern California to do much of anything. Luckily, our Cub Scout troop had planned a local trash-clean up hike at Riley Wilderness Park on one of the first chilly mornings that we’ve had in a long time. Seizing the opportunity, we grabbed our new Freeloader Child Carrier so that Evelyn could join us as well.
The Freeloader Child Carrier is the first carrier of its kind built specifically for toddlers. It is compact, lightweight and portable, and uses advanced materials and design to create a better experience for parents. The light and versatile carrier features an easy-to-use, 5-point safety harness, specially designed to fasten securely and safely out-of-reach of your child.
We took the Freeloader Child Carrier on a three mile hike up some very steep hills. Other than just having a little extra weight to carry, it was a breeze! The wide, ergonomic shoulder and waist straps provided an awesome amount of cushioning and helped to evenly distribute Evelyn’s weight. (She’s only three, but she’s only slightly smaller than her 5 year old brother.)
Making it up the final hill was no problem for us with the Freeloader Child Carrier! She ended up asking to walk on part of the way back down, but I would have had no problems carrying her for the entire length of our hike.
We are excited to continue using the Freeloader Child Carrier, because it gives us the ability and confidence to take on some longer and more difficult hikes that we might not otherwise be able to do with a three year old. We can’t wait to take it on more adventures!
