Are you ready for the best instant pot refried beans ever?!
In an effort to drastically reduce our spending I’ve been looking for ways to stretch our grocery budget even further. I just so happened to pass by an ALDI this past weekend (we live too far from one to make it a regular grocery stop) and I picked up a four pound bag of pinto beans for $2.89. You only need two pounds of dried pinto beans to make this recipe, and it should net approximately 80 ounces worth, 0r five regular 16oz cans, of refried beans. (I measured after people had already been “tasting” these with tortilla chips.) So, if you’re doing the math here that’s about 29 cents per “can” of beans. (Not counting the spices.)
